Issue #125 Loop WP

Could Termageddon be your Privacy & Cookie Saviour?

Hi, friend. 👋

Welcome to Issue #125 of Loop WP!

Last week, we continued our mini-series on WordPress Privacy by examining how to use and extend WordPress’s built-in Privacy Settings.

This week, we are continuing our mini-series by looking specifically at Termageddon.

How can it help you create those complex privacy policies we discussed last week and solve your Cookie Banner headaches?

Let’s go! 👇

Privacy Policy Headaches

🤯 Until I started using Termageddon, creating policies and knowing which policies I needed always caused me a complete headache.

Being based in Northern Ireland (part of the UK), we have some free resources, but they are very basic and realistically unsuitable.

It was a great foundation and guide for me to learn more, but it was not enough to help me with legal compliance.

An animated scene featuring a heroic man with robotic features in a post-apocalyptic world. He stands tall with a powerful high-tech arm weapon, glowing with blue energy, surrounded by the ruins of destroyed buildings and embers under a dark, cloudy sky. The scene balances hope and destruction, blending colourful animation with a futuristic sci-fi atmosphere

Could Termageddon be your Privacy & Cookie Saviour?

What is Termageddon?

🚨 There are many Privacy Policy Generators and Cookie Solutions out there, and I mentioned some of these in Issue #123 of this newsletter, but Termagaddon is my tool of choice.

Termageddon is a platform-agnostic tool that creates Website Policies that Automatically Update as the Laws Change.

“Protect your business from fines and lawsuits by creating your Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and other website policies with Termageddon.”

Termageddon

Although Termagageddon is commonly associated with WordPress, it can be used with any platform that allows you to insert custom code.

🧠 Whilst I manually insert the code required for Termageddon to work in clients’ WordPress websites, they do have a handy free plugin for those who aren’t confident with inserting code.

💵 The Termageddon WordPress plugin is free, but Termageddon is a paid product with a simple pricing structure and feature set.

The link below will give you 10% off your first year of payment. 👇

What Are Website Policies?

🚨 So far in this Privacy mini-series, we’ve talked about Cookie Policies and Privacy Policies, but there are others.

  • Privacy Policy

  • Disclaimer

  • Cookie Consent

  • Terms of Service

  • EULA

Not all of these might apply to you, and if you aren’t familiar with these, Termageddon has put together an excellent 10-minute video on different policies.

The video above is clear, concise and easy to understand, which is one of the many reasons I love Termageddon. 👇

Why I love Termageddon

❤️ I don’t just love Termageddon because of the feature set and pricing (although those are excellent). I love Termageddon for several other reasons:

  • Complimentary Onboarding Call - Depending on your needs, this can last 20 - 60 minutes.

  • Superb documentation for both setup and support.

  • The Termageddon YouTube channel is superb!

  • Lastly, support is superb! Some of the best I have encountered in WordPress. 👇

Other Services

While I prefer Termageddon and use it for myself and all my clients, there are other options.

🤔 Some of these “might” be better for you, depending on your business/website setup, but when you compare all the features and pricing, friend, Termageddon still comes out on top for most.

(The above-bulleted services are in no particular order and do not contain affiliate links.)

That’s it for this Week 👋

⏭️ Next week is the final part of our mini-series on Privacy and WordPress, as we take a practical look at Privacy by Design, which we first discussed in Part One of our mini-series.
