Issue #141 Loop WP
Celebrating WordPress Community Newsletters
Hi, friend. 👋
Welcome to Issue #141 of Loop WP!
Last week, contributions to WordPress were on the table again, and I wanted to share some thoughts on “contribution”.
This week, we briefly discuss the final results of my poll on contribution and share some positivity in the WordPress community.

Contributing to WordPress
My poll on X has now finished, and the results are as follows:
Have you or your team reduced contributions to the WordPress project as a result of other people's behaviour in the recent drama?

Last week, I set the context for the poll, looked at the initial results and discussed some potential implications (while the poll was still open).
🤔 With the overwhelming majority of voters saying they’ve either stopped contributing or are considering it, should this be a wake-up call to Matt and the powers at Automattic?
Challenging myself to “Rise Up”
So, friend, remember last week I tried to finish last week’s newsletter more positively?
As a reminder:
🏈 I think it’s time to “Rise Up”, a nearly 15-year-old slogan for my favourite American Football team that is a rallying cry for individuals, a team and a city to “rise up” together.
🎉 I want to continue that positivity this week, and I'd like to share some of my favourite WordPress newsletters worth reading.
(If I've missed your favourite WordPress newsletter, reply, and I'll include it next time.)
